Just what was needed-updated
I purchased both the left and the right, along with the 2 inch risers. It protects the couch perfectly and my cat took to it in just a few days. It functions well as a side table, very stable and doesn’t take up much room, checking off all the boxes on my wish list. The customer service provided has been beyond my expectation. The width of the sisal on the right side was a little short, leaving a gap, after noting this in my review they reached out to me asking to fix it. A replacement was quickly sent to me, which fix perfectly. Then they reached out to confirm all was well. Amazing! I’m was well pleased with the purchase and had recommended it before. I wanted my cats to have a place to scratch that wasn’t going to ruin my furniture and I found that cat trees and the like fall apart easily and don’t usually come with replacement parts. On the flip side I also needed a small side table for my couch. You wouldn’t think one product could satisfy both of those needs; enter Cat-e-Corner. It was easy to build, looks great next to my couch, and has a replaceable scratching pad. I would also like to comment on Hilde & Phil’s outstanding customer service. My couch isn’t configured like normal in that the arm rest doesn’t go all the way to the front, so I wasn’t sure if the Cat-e-Corner would work for me. The team had me take some photos and measurements of my couch and was able to tell me which version to purchase as well as make a 3D mock up to show me what it would look like. Definitely a 10/10 experience and I would recommend this to anyone!

Stylish and functional! So glad I purchased
I'd been looking for something like this for ages and even looking for a narrow enough side table that I could somehow modify to add coverage and a cat scratcher but nothing was ever quite right to make it worth it to buy. It's literally perfect
I recently purchased a new couch and wanted to protect it. The Cat e Corner is super function as a nice little end table and perfect to keep ky cats from destroying the couch. The best thing to happen to my family room!

Beautiful table, a bit of a challenge to put together but once it is, it makes a lovely addition. Our cat immediately went to it. I'm hoping this will distract him from any other parts of the sofa.

Which style, wood, and riser should I pick?
Pick Left or Right based on which end of the sofa it sits. Choose Maple for a lighter look or Black Walnut for a richer tone. For risers: measure floor to sofa-arm top — up to 25" needs none, 25–27" add 2", 27"+ add 4".
Are the scratch mats replaceable?
Yes. The natural sisal mats attach with sturdy Velcro and swap out in seconds — no tools. When one wears out, replace just the mat ($59) instead of the whole piece.
How stable is it while my cat scratches?
Very. The solid hardwood base is heavy and low — even a 16+ lb cat throwing its full weight at it won't make it wobble or tip. Stability is exactly why cats keep coming back to it.
How does shipping work?
Shipping is free worldwide. Most orders process in 1-3 business days before the carrier scan appears. When we can ship from a local US, Canada, UK, or Australia warehouse, delivery usually takes 2-7 business days after dispatch.

Is it hard to assemble?
No. The piece is designed for a straightforward setup with the included hardware. Choose the side and riser first, then place it tight to the sofa arm your cat already uses.
Is it solid wood or veneer?
The frame is solid Maple or Black Walnut. The scratch surface is a replaceable natural sisal mat, so the wood piece is not thrown away when the mat wears in.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum loose fur or sisal fibers from the mat. Wipe the wood with a soft, lightly damp cloth and avoid soaking the surface or using harsh cleaners.
Can I replace only the mat later?
